Our Team

Patricia Allison, MT-BC, owner

Patty is a board-certified music therapist and the owner of Milestones & Music, LLC. Patty has worked in a variety of settings from pre-schools to retirement communities. She started Milestones & Music in 2018 to help create jobs and bring more music therapy to the mountain state. Patty is a member of the WV State Task Force, an organization that aims to advocate for music therapy clients and professionals. In her spare time, she enjoys leading a local musical theatre program at Rising Starz Studio, engaging with her Grafton community, kayaking, hanging out with her animals, and spending time outside. 

Molly Blackwood, MT-BC

Molly Blackwood (she/her) is a music therapist located in Morgantown, West Virginia. Molly completed her Music Therapy, B.M. at West Virginia University in the Spring of 2020. After her clinical internship at Hospice Community Care of Virginia she joined Milestones & Music in the Summer of 2020. She has clinical experience working with a wide variety of populations, including: early childhood, individuals with autism, individuals with intellectual disabilities, individuals with physical disabilities, elder care, and hospice and palliative care. In addition to her clinical work, Molly enjoys spending time with family and friends, songwriting, and taking care of her many houseplants!

Skylar Freeman, MT-BC

Skylar Freeman is a West Virginia native who recently relocated back to her home state. She is a board-certified music therapist and has been practicing for the past four years. During those years, she worked with a variety of clients. Skylar is very excited to provide music therapy throughout the state of West Virginia and looks forward to her adventures with Milestones & Music. She is currently pursuing a master’s in clinical mental health counseling through Walden University. When she is not working, Skylar enjoys spending time with loved ones, including her two fur babies, Milo and Emry. 

Kat Tackett, MTI

Kat is a music therapy intern, originally from Rittman, Ohio. She is working to complete her degree from The College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio. Her clinical experience includes working in early childhood, school settings, assisted living facilities, and memory care. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, keeping up on her favorite Ohio teams, and exploring her new state of West Virginia.

Makayla Brady, MTI

Makayla Brady (she/her) is a New Orleans native currently interning at Milestones & Music, LLC to complete her degree in Music Therapy at William Carey University located in Hattiesburg, MS. She brings clinical experience from her time spent on the Ann Morris Grant, which, in partnership with her University and The Pinebelt Foundation, offered a unique opportunity to bring Music Therapy, the adults with special needs community, and local artists together.  In addition, Makayla has clinical experience in populations which include Older Adults and Rehabilitation. Makayla enjoys spending her free time as a local musician and remains an active member of the community.

Nicoletta Ciampa, MT-BC

Nicoletta is a board certified music therapist with experience across the lifespan and diagnoses. Her internship experience focused on school and community based music therapy for school aged children with disabilities. Nicoletta has a Bachelor’s of Music in voice performance and has experience in the Morgantown community as a private music instructor, drama coach, music director, and performer. Nicoletta also has a Master of Arts in Elementary Education with a graduate certificate in Disabilities Studies. It is her hope to integrate her passions of teaching, learning, and making music to bring diverse communities together by seeing, encouraging, and growing each other’s unique capabilities.
